Flute with Michelle L.

I'm Michelle, a passionate musician with experience in a wide range of styles. I aim to help my students develop their passion for music, too. My teaching style encourages exploration while building musicianship and technique. I have been teaching flute since 2004. I have a wide range of experience, and enjoy playing and teaching classical and contemporary music for flute, alto flute, and piccolo. I have attended the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific, and hold a BA in Music Performance from Mills College. I am an active musician with interests in classical and contemporary/experimental works, extended techniques, electronic music and sound art. I have a strong conservatory training and am a studio musician in pop/rock/folk/jazz styles. I've taught students privately and through music programs, and enjoy helping students have fun with music and reach their goals as musicians. I'm friendly, easy-going, and professional. I look forward to working with you!
