Piano with Michelle H.

Michelle’s love of dance began at McCardles Dance Studio, continuing on to University of Akron and Kent State University. Michelle studied voice performance with Mary Sue Hyatt at Kent State University and studied piano with Virgil "Doug" Hicks of the University of Akron. Her performing credits include local community theater, various theme parks, Harry Hershey and his orchestra, Akron Lyric Opera, but it began with ETC show choir 37-years ago. Now with four children, Nigel, Montgomery, Jocelyn and Jenna, Michelle loves watching them grow and develop. Somewhere in there, she obtained her black belt in tae kwon do and taught cardio kickboxing. Michelle teaches voice, piano, and theater at Heid’s School of Music, McCardle’s Dance Studio and her West Akron home. Some of her past students, now scholarship winners with full vocal scholarships at universities, and some are performing on stage. Michelle has choreographed at Medina High School, St. Edwards High School, Huntington Playhouse, Garfield Community Theater, Mayfield Limited Edition Show Choir and ETC New Gen and Main Street Singers Show Choir! Michelle is the vocalist for St. Anthony Parish in Akron and continues to study a variety of dance; ballet, tap and jazz.
