Michele brings more than three decades of private study education, theatre performance, recording artist, demo singing and live performance experience to each lesson with her students. Michele has studied with a variety of acclaimed vocal coaches since the age of five, including Julliard graduate and founder of the New York Performing Arts Studio, Debra Livering, celebrity vocal coaches, Cindy Overfield, Renee Grant Williams and noted master vocal coach and Jazz artist Patty Dunham. She also has her B.A. in Theatre and Communications. Michele has been a professional vocalist for 30 years and a coach for the past 11 years in both New York and Nashville, TN. Her performance credits include live performances on Fox Morning Show with Charlie Chase, the Blue Bird Cafe, Hershey Park in PA, Steel Horse Stampede, Fort Knox Army Base in KY, back up vocals on indie label album projects, and various demo projects. She has worked for BMI, Warner Brothers Records - Nashville, Gibson Guitar, CMT and other independent labels. *** Lesson Details *** Your First Lesson: Your first lesson is an evaluation and discussion of your goals. Be ready to sing a full song in your first lesson and discuss your history with music as well as what your goals are. (do you want to be a recording artist? a stage performer in the theatre or just sing better in the shower or the car?) Throughout your Vocal Education we will: :: Learn proper posture and breathing :: Use classical techniques and apply them to the genre of music you prefer :: Learn proper tone, by focusing on the "3 R's" of Singing; Range, Register, and Resonance :: Circular Singing Method :: Vocal Flexibility :: Proper Diction :: The difference between singing the song and performing the song :: and more! The pace, intensity, and advancement of your education depend upon your strengths, areas we need to work on and your dedication to your work in an out of lessons. Michele teaches ages 10 and up, beginners to professionals and all genres.
