I love the Arts; Music, Writing and Cooking!
I have been teaching strings, piano, harp and drums since 1999. Many of my students have studied with me for years and developed a lifelong love of music. Some have gone on to be professionals.
I have been tutoring music therapy students as well as teaching music composition for seven years.
As a writer and author, I've written and had published 3 novels and 2 children's books. I teach and tutor writing to high school and college students.
I strive to help students achieve their musical and literary goals however I can, but I do not tolerate laziness or half-hearted attempts. Music can be a tool and thus, summers are dedicated to fun, composition and learning to record.
Lastly, cooking runs in my blood. My family is full of professional chefs. I’ve taken to cooking healthy, affordable food and my friends insisted I teach them to make some of my recipes.
Author and composer for the new children's harp music and story book, "The Harp and the Storm Tamer." Available through Amazon, The Michigan Harp Center and the Michigan Conservatory.
Writing age and ability appropriate curriculum that supplements harp, piano, guitar and violin. My lessons also include teaching composing, creative music projects thru mathematics and piano for stroke recovery.
The Detroit Music Awards Foundation is a Michigan 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, whose mission is to recognize Detroit area musicians working on a national, regional and local level. Its purpose is also to support and nurture the musical community in the Detroit metropolitan area, and to create a network for musicians that cuts across genres and styles.+ Read More
Michele was awesome in giving me ideas and lessons in living a more healthy lifestyle, especially on a budget.
She showed me ways to prepare food that I had never before considered, and BOY were they wonderful to eat. (Yes, I'm someone who likes to taste what I'm cooking, as I'm cooking it)
I can't recommend her highly enough.
PS: If you can talk her into catering for you, you won't go wrong at all.
Michelle is a great teacher; but the having to give 24 hour notice or loose the lesson doesn't work for me.
So far Michele is a talented instructor. She is a down to earth person and knew my strengths and weakness right away. I am looking forward to my next class with her.
