Singing lessons with college trained musician

Welcome to my studio! As a teacher, I believe it’s my job to learn along with the student. Each student’s voice is like a fingerprint, completely unique! There is no “one size fits all” approach to discovering your voice, but I would love to help you find the techniques, exercises, and methods that best help you meet your goals! Our job as singers is to tell a story. From my experience as a performer, I guide my students through the process of creating music that is, not only, technically proficient, but also fun, interesting; and moving. Singing, in any style or genre, requires a solid foundation rooted in technique, emotional connection, and physical awareness. By helping you cultivate these three things, I aim to help you love your voice and share your talent with the world. No matter what your singing goals are, you deserve to be confident in your singing! I want to help! Please reach out to me to ask questions, go over policies, or book your first lesson! I’m excited to help you start loving your voice!

I have started online singing lessons with Michaela 6 months ago and I am located in Europe. I did not expect online lessons to turn out so effective! Learning singing with Michaela is a journey to discover my voice, to learn how to use it properly and freely. She created a great space where I try, improve, and finally grow more and more confident in singing. She provides knowledge as well as good atmosphere, shares tips and focuses on the needs of the student. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons.

Michaela is an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend contacting her if you’re looking to learn about vocal techniques and singing! I started taking voice lessons with Michaela a few months ago and I have learned so much already. Michaela is very patient and has offered so many different tools to help me accomplish my goals. Anytime I start to feel frustrated or like I can’t do something, she offers a different technique to try to correct the problem until we find something that works for me personally. She’s also extremely versatile in her singing ability. Michaela and I have worked on country songs, pop songs; any song and any genre of music that I’ve been interested in learning Michaela has been knowledgeable and helpful with. Michaela is also super easy to get along with and just an overall very kind person which makes working with her even better!

Michaela is such a great teacher. She really cares about the progress of her students and makes sure the student is learning in each lesson. Very easy to work with. Michaela is an exceptional teacher because I can see a lot of improvement with my voice and find it much easier to sing Opera than before. She helped me remove the strain and expanded my range. Michaela demonstrates exercises very well and helps you understand how singing works from different aspects - how it mechanically works and how you feel different notes and vowels. I could feel improvement very early in my lessons. Michaela can definitely help you learn how to broaden your range and have a rich sound while maintaining healthy voice/vocal cords.

    Phi Kappa Phi

    Aug, 2017

In 1897 at the University of Maine, ten senior students, two faculty members, and the school president created an honor society that was different from the few others then in existence-one that recognized and honored excellence in all academic disciplines. Under the leadership of undergraduate student Marcus L. Urann, the group formed the Lambda Sigma Eta Society, which was later renamed Phi Kappa Phi from the initial letters of the Greek words forming its adopted motto: Philosophìa Krateìto Photôn, "Let the love of learning rule humanity." Phi Kappa Phi's mission is "To recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others."
