    About Michael J.

Born and raised in Connecticut, I now reside in Central Florida. After receiving my initial training as a young child and becoming serious as a teenager, he went on to study music at North Texas University School of Music. Shortly after, I went on to study orchestration and arranging under Don Sebesky and later studied voice with pop music icon Michael Bolton. My musical background and the importance I give to music education is easily discernible from the moment you meet me. If you want to sing, play, or perform above all the rest then you've reached the right instructor! *** Lesson Details *** My students can expect a SOLID foundation in the understanding of music. Not only about their instrument or their singing voice, but the science of sound, tuning, pitch, and the physical mechanics of getting the best musicality from based upon YOUR mental and emotional makeup. We'll use books, CD's, and much more. You'll never be bored. AND you'll look forward to each lesson cause I like to keep things relaxed and fun. However, it won't be a constant party. Remember, you are trusting me to make you a proficient musician, singer, or performer. That means you are expected to give it your best. Right? In six months, with the right focus and training, you'll be in a position to jam! In one year with the right focus and training, you'll know enough to confidently compose your own song! After that, we get super focused and the sky is the limit. It's all up to you. *** Studio Equipment *** The In-Studio lessons take place in the home studio with recording gear, guitar, bass guitar, grand piano, amps, music stands. No pets. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide everything, but will charge more for the lesson. *** Specialties *** Some book-work, some independent studies, some student-chosen work.
