Acoustic Guitar with Michael S.

I am a composition/theory major currently attending Sacramento State University; I am 22 and it is my last year at University. I have been playing guitar for 10 years and performing off and on with various groups for 5 years. I teach 'the fundamentals of guitar' which means my lessons are for beginners and beginning-intermediate players. I also have some knowledge of bass, ukulele, and other stringed instruments. I can cover a wide variety of genres in my lessons although my emphasis is on Jazz, Blues, Rock, and everything in between; that being said I'm willing to cover anything you'd like to go over. What I offer is a fresh perspective on the guitar. I am classically trained in composition and have been musically inclined since I was in Middle School. I taught myself guitar, took lessons here and there, and didn't have regular lessons until College. Through this process, I developed a proficiency in guitar and want to teach you how to be proficient as well. My method is not theory-based, however, I will cover some basic music theory as I feel it is necessary for developing a complete musical understanding of what exactly we're playing.
