I moved to Las Vegas in August 2017, after finishing my master's of music degree at UNC School of the Arts, to teach and pursue a doctorate of music in guitar performance at UNLV. I've been teaching for many years now, at universities, music stores and private in-home lessons like I'm offering on this site.
I aim to give my students the skills to pursue whatever they would like on the guitar. I'm a professional classical guitarist, but I got my start playing rock and roll and am comfortable teaching a variety of genres if the student wants to learn a specific style. I feel I am a great teacher for total beginners as well, I make sure the student has a rounded approach and avoids developing bad habits.

Michael has been great teaching us (ages 40 and 7 years old) ukelele lessons. We've never played the ukelele before and he has been very patient and listens to our questions and teaches in a way that makes it fun and easy to learn. My 7 year old daughter practices without me having to remind her! We will definitely be purchasing more lessons and now my husband wants to start as well!
