I have been studying and performing as a pianist and vocalist most of my life, and am enthusiastic about imparting what I've learned to students of all ages. I believe in creating a comfortable learning atmosphere in which a student feels encouraged to express himself or herself. The student should find the process not just challenging, but exciting.
I earned a B.A. in Music at the University of Illinois and was awarded a PhD. in Music at New York University. I have frequently performed as a soloist, and have experience in choral and orchestral conducting. I have instructed private piano and vocal students in both Philadelphia and New York.
Founded in 1944, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc. (NATS) is the largest professional association of teachers of singing in the world with more than 7,000 members worldwide.
