About Michael M.
Michael is very extroverted and laid back. All of his students have been very comfortable as he uses encouragement to drive the interest in learning an instrument. Michael is an accomplished musician. He has performed and instructed for several years in the Dallas area. From the time he was seven, he has been disciplined in piano practice and performance. He is professional and driven, racking up around 7,000 hours of time on the piano. He was instructed by 4 separate teachers over the course of 11 years. His performances include restaurants, weddings, funerals, and corporate events. He has taken on several
students to instruct on the proper techniques and fundamentals of the piano. Michael picked up a guitar around age 10, as his father taught him open chords. Soon thereafter, Michael was learning tab, which allowed him to view any chord and learn quickly. Michael has instructed more students in guitar than any other instrument. He is certain he can take any student, no matter the experience level, and have them playing almost any song they want in about a month’s time. After attending college at the University of North Texas, Michael was unsure of what field he wanted to work in. While searching for a traditional career, Michael was blessed in finding an instructing job at Guitar Center in Dallas. While teaching piano and guitar for Guitar Center, Michael was approached with another opportunity. The General Manager of the location
needed a ukulele teacher. He quickly learned some tab, picked up a uke, and successfully taught over 5 students over the course of the year. In high school, he wanted to be the life of the party, so he saved up his money to purchase a DJ controller. Since age seventeen, he has been performing at social clubs, private parties, and corporate events.
