I recently graduated from St. Joseph's University with a degree in Biology. I minored in music, specifically in piano performance. I am currently the pianist for the chapel at St. Joseph's University. I have studied piano since I was a young kid, but at St. Joe's I have studied with Dr. Emi Kagawa, a renowned pianist. In the past, I have played piano for theater, churches, as well as jazz bands. I also play trombone and have played in orchestras, concert bands, and jazz bands. From my home, I teach using an 88 key weighted Korg keyboard which has worked well for many students.

My husband (Ryan) worked with Michael over 5 sessions as a complete beginner. Michael was very open minded to teaching whatever kind of music he wanted to play. Ryan felt that Michael did a great job of pointing out exercises to work on, and how to break down songs not just by reading music but also adding, blending and working through the root of the song to make it his own experience. My husband really enjoyed his lessons and the jump-start that Michael gave him to continue practice working through his technique. It was overall a great experience, and Ryan would recommend Michael to anyone looking to learn how to play the piano.+ Read More
Mike is a talented pianist who is very devoted to teaching his students. Highly recommend him to anyone who is new or experienced.
Started lessons with Michael some time ago and felt a real accomplishment, however, due to time restrictions in my life, I had to forego lessons but hoping to get back to them again very soon!
I had a great experience working with Mike! He makes lessons fun and has a passion for music. Extremely recommend.
Very experienced pianist with a lot of knowledge to share for all levels of students.
After only a few lessons I feel that I have learned so much. Very knowledgable and precise with his teaching methods. Overall, great instructor. Highly recommended.
Really is the best instructor ever!
