I have been studying double bass for the past five years and in 2015 graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in double bass performance. My main focus is bluegrass, old-time, new acoustic music, and jazz. I like to find out what your goals are and work with you to meet them, while building a strong technical foundation that will benefit you no matter what style you are looking to play.

Mike Gaisbacher is currently available to teach lessons at your home, at his studio, and online. 
Mike received his training at Berklee College of Music in 2015 where he received a degree in double bass performance. As an expert in his field, Mike looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. Mike focuses on bluegrass, old-time, new acoustic, and jazz music and it open to teaching all ages and abilities.

Mike has a knack for teaching the upright bass. He helped me through some things: figuring out a comfortable posture on the bass, playing over the fretboard and also with some bowing. Loved his take on fiddle tunes on the bass. Take a lesson from him, you won't regret it!
