My exploration of sound began in 1998 when I played my flute through a crybaby wah and a tube amp set to 11. Since then I’ve been taking cool sounds and making them cooler. As an audio engineer I have worked with artists such as the Grammy winning Digable Planets, STS and Truck North of the Money Making Jam Boys with Black Thought, Ursula Rucker, Serpentwithfeet, and many more,

I specialize in recording and mixing soul and hip-hop music but have experience in every genre and with sound for film. My lessons use this experience to support students development of their own style. I do not teach rules, instead I focus on the big picture, understanding your tools, and critical listening.

Micah is a wonderful engineer! He provided invaluable help for my band along in the process of making and releasing our first EP!

Micah is our "go to" engineer on most of the Artists First Records recording projects. I have relied on his skills for many years and he has shown an ability to handle my artists needs from both a creative and technical standpoint.
