I have over twenty years' experience teaching private lessons on trombone (alto, tenor, and bass), euphonium, and tuba. I perform regularly with symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and popular groups in my area, and have performed, conducted, and lectured at the International Trombone Festival, the International Tuba-Euphonium Conference, and other major venues. While most of my teaching is at the university level, I also work regularly with students both younger and older than that. My high school students are frequently successful in auditions for all-state ensembles, college scholarships, and competitions. My focus in lessons is to help each student to develop sound fundamental playing skills and then teach students how to apply those to realizing musical goals.

Taking lessons with Dr. E has significantly improved both my skill with my instrument as well as my approach to music as a whole. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for low brass lessons.

Dr. Everett is a master musician who is able to articulate his skills and techniques effectively. We have two young musicians (high school) who have greatly benefited directly from Dr. Everett's private lessons as well as from personal instruction from (2) former students. Dr. Everett gets results!

Dr. Everett has been one of the most influential teachers I have ever had. I would not be the muscian I am today without his teaching. He has a profound, well-rounded, and extensive knowledge of brass teaching a well as musicianship.

I have never taken an online lesson with Dr. Everett, but my four years of in person lessons were great. He always makes an effort to adapt to whatever situation his students need help with.

Dr. Everett really helped me fall back in love with playing my horn in college. His approach is fundamentally logical, and he is specific and concise with his expectations. I would recommend him a thousand times over.

Lessons with Dr. Micah Everett are truly wonderful, every lesson is well thought out and designed to bring out the absolute best of his students. Dr. Everett's online lessons have been incredible, seeing that he only had two weeks to adapt to this new way of teaching this past school semester. It's a fun, hardworking environment that has challenged me to be a better musician every time we would have a lesson. I definitely would not be the musician I am today without Dr. Everett's teaching and highly recommend him to any student at any level.
