Hello: My name is Mercedes. I'm a professional piano and singing teacher. I was trained in the classical Russian method for piano and singing. I studied with famous musicians and teachers in Cuba. I started my studies at a Professional Music School at the age of seven. I graduated with honors and hold a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Professional School of Music œJose White, Camaguey, Cuba. Upon graduation I qualified as a soloist, concertmaster, and piano instructor. I have been teaching piano for 15 years and singing for 10. The results of my outstanding background as a student, teacher, and performer are clearly seen in my teaching skill. As a teacher, I' am patient, creative, innovative and confident. I am deeply committed to a high standard and excellent quality of musical education. I am an active member of the American College of Musicians / National Guild of Piano Teachers. I am fluently in English and Spanish. *** Lesson Details *** I prepare my students for piano and singing competitions, auditions, scholarship, and performance. I helped the students to feel more confidence when performing. Hear training, sight reading and music theory. *** Studio Equipment *** Studio lessons are taught in the living room which includes an acoustic piano, sheet music, metronome, and seating for parents/students.
