Unleashing the World of Math: A Personal Journey with Mena Hana Greetings, I am Mena Hana, and I invite you to embark on a mathematical adventure like no other. With roots tracing back to Egypt, I've embraced the diverse world of numbers and their intricacies, and now, I'm here to share that passion with you. Education as a Steppingstone: My journey into mathematics began with two profound steppingstones – Cairo University and Baruch College. At Cairo University, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, immersing myself in the captivating realm of algorithms, problem-solving, and the boundless possibilities of programming. Later, at Baruch College, I delved into Actuarial Science, a field that harnesses mathematical principles to assess risk and uncertainty. My academic voyage wasn't just about degrees; it was about laying the foundation for a lifelong love affair with mathematics. Excellence in Academics: With a GPA of 3.5 in Computer Science and 3.8 in Actuarial Science, I've shown an unwavering commitment to academic excellence. These numbers, though seemingly simple, represent a dedication to understanding the intricacies of the subjects I love. Certification & Expertise: I hold the esteemed title of a certified 6–12 math teacher, a qualification that highlights my expertise and readiness to guide students of varying ages and mathematical backgrounds. A Journey in Teaching: My teaching journey is a significant part of who I am. Since 2007, I've been in the tutoring arena, aiding students in understanding math on a deeper level. SAT and ACT prep? Consider it mastered. My teaching voyage also led me to become a math teacher for four years, where I had the privilege of shaping young minds and fostering their mathematical growth. Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is clear and resolute – I make math not only understandable but enjoyable for all students. To me, math is not a daunting challenge but an exhilarating journey waiting to be explored. Problem-Solving Guru: I've earned a reputation for making problems easy and exciting for students. Complex concepts? I break them down into manageable steps, building confidence in problem-solving. Testimonials: But perhaps, the most compelling proof of my abilities comes from the students and parents I've had the privilege of working with. They don't just see me as a tutor; they say, "Mena Hana is the best tutor ever!" Their words fuel my passion for teaching and reaffirm my dedication to the world of mathematics. Conclusion: I'm not just a math tutor; I'm your companion on a journey to unlock the beauty and potential of mathematics. Let's make math not just a subject but a thrilling adventure together. Choose Mena Hana as your math tutor, and let's embark on this mathematical journey, one equation at a time.

We like Mena’s Style of teaching. He has a way to get my 16-yr-old son to study and do extra math work daily. He goes through the lessons to prep my son for the school work and also get him to do the SAT prep. He has a lot of knowledge and tricks on the SAT that are very helpful. We do a weekly class with Mena is the past 6 months and will continue through high school.
