Melissa believes that a student can start learning music at any age. She understands that every student is different so carefully tailor's each lesson to meet each student's individual needs. Her passion of music started at age five when she began playing the violin and piano. She knew that at a very early age she wanted to be a music teacher. She graduated from the University of Evansville with a degree in K-12 Music Education and a minor in Psychology. While attending the University of Evansville she participated in the University Orchestra, String Ensemble, String Quartet, and Women's Chorus. She has experience teaching private lessons to students of all ages, from ages 1-adult. She has worked in the public school system as a elementary music teacher, middle school orchestra director, district orchestra chairperson, and high school chamber quartet instructor.
