English (ESL) with Melissa T.

My name is Melissa and dedicated to guiding learners as they reach their goals and realize success. I have a true passion for teaching and I am happy to provide various services to those in need. My academic and professional achievements have afforded me the opportunity to teach learners from Pre-Kindergarten through Adulthood. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Early Childhood Education in 2006 and a Master’s Degree in Urban Education with ESL Specialization and Supervisor Certification in 2016, both from New Jersey City University. I was a Pre-K teacher in Jersey City, NJ from 2008-2015. Within that time, I tutored and mentored several colleagues and classmates. I have a vibrant personality and I can accommodate any learning style. Each session will be tailored to the learner's needs while various forms of assessment will ensure success. I am fully dedicated to my tutoring business so my hours are flexible, including evenings and weekends. I conduct most lessons in my private office, I am also willing to travel locally or provide online lessons. My office is in Downtown Montclair, NJ with plenty of parking, shopping and dining options right outside.
