I teach voice to many different students in many different genres.

I teach voice and piano over FaceTime. I currently teach beginner/intermediate piano (up to level 3 NYSSMA) and advanced voice (up to college level). I also incorporate music theory and sight reading into my lessons to create well-rounded musicianship.

Ms. Melissa believes that Music Theory is important for anyone to know, no matter what you play or sing. With her private lessons, students will learn how and why music is written the way it is, based on scales, tonality and the relationships between notes and chords. The student will also be given assignments to do at home to ensure that the lesson has been understood.

Ms. Melissa is a classically trained singer and pianist with a love for all kinds of music. Since 2013, she has taught students to read music, understand music, and prepare for various occasions such as NYSSMA, auditions (theatre, college, etc.) and recitals.

She is currently teaching out of her home, but don’t let that discourage you! She has been wildly successful with these lessons, and she has no doubt that either you or your child will benefit from these online lessons just as much as you would from in-home lessons.

We love our online lessons with Melissa!  We just prop up the phone or iPad on a chair and Melissa can guide my daughter as if she was sitting right next to her!! She keeps her engaged and focused with her encouraging approach and current song choices. Voice lessons are also going great with Melissa demonstrating or singing along as needed.  I spoke with A LOT of instructors and music schools and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Melissa to anyone!
