Have fun while learning something new, or improving on a skill you've been working on! I have never met a person that was unteachable. I specialize in Ballroom and Latin Style dancing and love to bring passion and fun to every lesson. 

I grew up dancing Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Baton, and later added Hip Hop, Modern, and Ballroom to my repertoire. I spent four years as an instructor and manager at Arthur Murray and really fell in love with teaching. I miss being at the studio on a daily basis and am hoping to bring dance and joy to more people via takelessons.com. 

I also specialize in wedding dance instruction - whether you are looking for a choreographed first dance or just to feel comfortable moving together on your big day. I am your girl!

I've always loved to dance. I took every lesson available as a kid, choreographed dances in the back of my first job during downtime (Subway Sandwiches in Leola!),  studied Theatre, Film, and Dance in College, and quickly moved through the ranks at Arthur Murray Dance Studios as a Silver Certified Instructor and Manager. 

Not only do I have a passion for dance, but I also have a passion for people. I loved teaching at Arthur Murray and watching how dance positively impacted both my students and myself. I was also named Top Instructor and Top Executive during the 2015 Arthur Murray International Dance Festival.

5 Stars is the highest ranking and is not easily obtained. I have know Mellissa for over 5 years relative to dance. She was my 3rd dance instructor but my best, extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient. There is not an aspect of dance that she is not familiar with. She can Move you past and beyond your trouble spots and onto the next level. You cannot find a better instructor! I actually think it is her calling!
