Melina has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from UC Santa Cruz and is currently transitioning from a long-term role at a public health nonprofit towards a career in teaching. She is passionate about a student-centered approach to education, empowering students with the confidence and expertise to succeed. Melina has taught English as a Second Language, Natural and Biological Sciences, Spanish, Outdoor Education and Music. She is excited to spend more time tutoring and getting to know her students. In her free time, Melina loves to sew, play music and dance Salsa.
