I believe that a solid technical and musical foundation is most important in learning to play the violin. Without great foundations, there can be no real progress and improvements. I began violin at age 7 thru high school with my father, who was the concertmaster of China Radio Symphony Orchestra. I have both BM & MM in violin performance and Suzuki pedagogy from Columbus university, GA & East Carolina University, NC. I’ve been performing professionally in the Southern states, including Charleston Symphony since 1991, teaching violin in SC Suzuki Institute, both private & public schools and private lessons at Gawlik Stringed Instruments, Inc.(formerly Gawlik Violin Co.) since 1991.
