I have taught algebra to a 12 year old, a 15 year old, and an 18 year old - all within the last year! Each student saw remarkable improvements in their grades because we spent our time together focused on their unique learning styles and preferences. I will help you learn how to study more efficiently and get a strong grasp on those tricky concepts. Algebra is truly a life skill more than a mathematical one. It helps you think more logically and analytically. Understanding it makes your brain stronger, so let's start training right!

Teaching since:

I am a fourth-year astronomy and physics undergraduate student at the University of Florida with over two full years of freelance and hired tutoring experience and previous years of volunteer tutor experience. I was employed with the University Athletic Association as a physics tutor to student-athletes for a year. I also worked as a university-employed tutor to provide teaching assistance to college algebra courses. In high school I participated in the IB Program and took AP classes as well, so I know how the work load can get for today's students, but I also know how to help! My students always show marked improvement in grades after only a couple weeks with my help! I go out of my way to learn a student's strengths - I have no problem making a fool out of myself by singing a song if that's what helps the learning process. Feel free to ask me more about my experience or philosophy!

Megan started tutoring me in astronomy when she gave me some information informally but it was so fun it's a regular thing now. I might take astronomy classes now and having her as a teacher is awesome!

Megan was a really great teacher. When it came to difficult math questions, she would walk me through all of the steps and explain them in detail. She was very understanding and flexible. She helped me pass college algebra!
Thanks Megan!

Megan has helped me get through various classes. From algebra 2 and pre-calculus in high school, to calculus 1 through 3, as well as physics 1 and 2 at the collegiate level. She has always taken my learning preferences into consideration and was patient with me while I figured out concepts and problems. I really appreciate her help and kindness. Between her highly scientific mindset and friendly, approachable demeanor, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a boost, especially in the fields of math and science!

Really helpful with calculus 2 at UF (where it's pretty tough!) Good at explaining new concepts as well as helping with difficult problems.
