    About Megan M.

    Megan McDonald is a multi-instrumentalist from Linden, NJ. Her main instrument is violin and she has been playing for thirteen years. She also plays piano, guitar, and ukulele. Megan is a recent graduate of Marywood University in Scranton, PA, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy. While at Marywood, she studied under British violinist, Sophie Till. Megan has performed in a variety of ensembles, including the New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra, Marywood University String Ensemble, Marywood Orchestra, and the Montclair State University Youth Orchestra. She has held principle chairs in most of these orchestral ensembles. Megan has also had the opportunity to perform under the direction of Lawrence Loh, the current director of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she has experience performing in choral ensembles. Megan has been teaching violin and beginner piano in both private and group settings for two years. Additionally, she has taught large orchestral ensembles within the Marywood University String Project for four years. With a background in music therapy, Megan also enjoys teaching adapted lessons for students with disabilities.
