Learn English From an Experienced ESL Teacher (Abroad)

I am a passionate and enthusiastic educator with over 5 years of experience working with students of all ages, including students attending Ivy League universities and students with learning differences. I aim to not only help my students overcome academic challenges, but also to lead them to becoming autonomous, independent learners. I strive to empower my students and instill them with intrinsic motivation to learn so they can reach their full potential. I believe education is not one-size-fits all. Every student is unique. What works or makes sense for one student will not necessarily work for the next student, thus it is essential to choose a tutor who can assess the child's abilities and can tailor the lessons to suit the student's needs. My teaching methods are adjusted to fit the student’s preferred learning styles so they are appropriately supported and challenged academically. Note: I teach via zoom using my laptop, iPad and apple pencil so that the student and I can: video chat, share screen, and write/annotate in real time.

    About McKenzie S.

I am a passionate and professional STEM educator with over 5 years of experience working with students of all ages, including students attending Ivy League universities and students with learning differences. I am a former pre-medical student with a dual bachelors of science (B.S.) degree in Psychology and General Science, along with a minor in Chemistry. Throughout my education I was also involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities, which provided me with practical and invaluable knowledge about research, science, and medicine. This includes extensive volunteer work in hospitals and other care facilities in the USA and abroad, as well as experience working as a research assistant in 3 different psychological research labs. I specialize in teaching the science and math components of STEM. These subjects are often the most challenging subjects students encounter; they are also deeply intertwined with one another. Thus, it can be very beneficial to have a single tutor who is well-versed in a variety of subjects. I strive to break down the barriers between individual topics and help my students understand these subjects on a deeper level. Ultimately, I aim to not only help my students overcome academic challenges, but also to lead them to becoming autonomous, independent learners. One thing that makes me stand out as a private tutor: I provide quality, customized notes for my students (for free)! Note: I teach via zoom using my laptop, iPad and apple pencil so that the student and I can: video chat, share screen, and write/annotate in real time.
