Hi! I'm from Chandler, Arizona but right now I'm living in Tucson as I go to school at University of Arizona to earn a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I love teaching not only academics but dance as well! I have been a dancer for 10 years and started off probably where you are right now. I began in recreational jazz classes at Club Dance Studio in Mesa, Arizona. I went on to join their performance and pom team and eventually their competitive, nationwide known company. I've taken classes in all forms of dance including hip hop, acro/tumbling, musical theatre and ballroom but my favorite styles to dance and teach are contemporary, lyrical and jazz. I specialize in teaching foundational technique to beginning or young dancers who are just starting their dance career. My contemporary and lyrical classes are supported by fundamental ballet technique. I also teach basic jazz technique classes. If you take a class with me, you can expect a lot of conditioning and technique in order to strengthen your knowledge, flexibility, and stamina as a dancer. I am open to doing choreography as well or combo class by request. I can also help with technique and turns or acrobatics. Dance has always been a passion of mine. The dance studio is always where I felt the most comfortable. You can expect that in a lesson from me as well. I think it is most important to enjoy dance without the worry of competitiveness or perfection. Dance is an art and everyone expresses themselves differently.
