I have been tutoring Latin for 3 years! I earned my BA in history and classics from UNC Chapel Hill in 2017, with a focus on archaeology, Latin, and Ancient Greek. I love Latin and think it is one of the most enjoyable subjects to learn. I didn't always have a love for language though- when I first started Latin in highschool, I had a difficult time and had to completely rework the way I approached studying. Because of my difficulties at the beginning, I understand how overwhelming ancient languages can be! I listen to the student and their problems, and work out an approach that works for them, since not every student is the same. I find straight memorization does not produce the best language results, but rather immersion and excitement when approaching a new text does. I love classics and have just as much fun teaching as I do learning!

I am a recent graduate from UNC Chapel Hill and will be starting my Masters program this coming fall in classical archaeology! My BA is in history and classics, with a strong focus on language and archaeology. I have experience with French, Latin, and Ancient Greek. I love learning about the ancient world and history is something I am very passionate about. I think Latin and Greek are the two most enjoyable languages to learn, and there's never a dull moment with translation materials!
