Abstract Painting uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Abstract art, non figurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art are loosely related terms. They are similar, but perhaps not of identical meaning.
A Complete List of Painting Supplies that every Acrylic Painter needs
1. Acrylic Paints. Ex: Golden Classic Theory Color, a-z Acrylics, Liquitex [brands]
2. Proper Painting Brushes [I‘d suggest six total in a range of sizes: two size 2 brushes, two size 6 brushes, and two size 12 brushes. One of each pair should be a flat brush (with a squared-off brush tip) and the other should be a filbert brush (with a slightly rounded tip).
3. Newspaper
4. A charcoal pencil
5. A “palette”
6. Comfortable, messy clothes
7. A painter’s easel - if any
8. Canvas (or other painting surface)

I love Mayra. She taught me a lot more than I thought in just one class. I have a painting that I will hang on my wall. Never thought one class would do that. She has great personality and great skills.

Mayra was very helpful. She had a challenge with us because we we're weren't sure exactly what we wanted to learn. Mayra worked with us and demonstrated some new techniques and ideas based on where we already were as (very amateur) artists. She was helpful, very encouraging, and easy to work with. Thank you!

It was a great experience meeting Mayra! She's an excellent teacher, and is a very patient, nice person. I learned some interesting techniques from her, and enjoyed my lesson with Mayra very much!!!

Mayra is amazing! Taught me a lot and had fun the whole time!!

The lesson was Great and Fun - Thank you so much Mayra :)

My girls had the best time, they can't wait to get together again with Mayra!

Mayra is knowledgeable, patient, flexible with my schedule. Thank you for your time and patience with me as a new student. You definitely help expand my imagination and place in on my canvas.
