It doesn't matter how old you are or if you've spent five minutes or five years singing. Everyone has a star they want to reach for and I can help you get there!
I have been teaching voice privately for several years and trained with Allen Cathcart (Opera), Linda Balliro (mix voice), Greg Enriquez (Jazz voice) and Seth Riggs (Pop voice). I currently front a jazz trio and perform in the Boston area. While I'm not super active right now performance wise, you can catch me at the occasional open mic, singing jazz and blues.
I have directed several musicals through organizations such as Sprindrift School of the Performing Arts and Champions USA. I have worked with people of all ages and assisted them in mastering songs, have prepared them for shows and auditions and have guided them through the process of repairing their voice.
I first discovered singing when I was a six. I developed a natural curiosity about how the human voice works. To supplement my studies, I began to work with a Speech Language Pathologist to develop a better understanding at Tufts Medical Center. After developing a better understanding of how the human voice worked, I was not satisfied until I found a voice teacher with a simple and direct approach to singing. This is when I discovered and began to study the famous Speech Level Singing technique
Taught students of all ages how to sing in the mix, prepare for aduditions and performances

Maya is a wonderful, conscientious and highly trained voice teacher
I have been taking voice lessons from Maya for approximately two years. I had no prior training however Maya started me with the basics and I now have voice skills and knowledge that I can use. I play in a small band and wanted my singing to improve. I highly recommend her
I LOVE MAYA!
Maya is an excellent instructor! Every week she solves the problems I met in practicing. She always knows what to do to make my voice better. Maya is very patient. She spent a lot of time communicating with me and listening to what I thought. She is also good at explaining how to "hit the note!" I really enjoyed Maya's classes. I've been better, and I know what to do to make my voice even better, thanks to Maya!
Maya is very helpful and encouraging. She knows a lot of good exercises and can easily pinpoint what you need to work on. Overall, I've had a great experience working with her :)
Helped me reach my potential
Working with Maya has been a fantastic experience for me. I've been singing for years but have never taken lessons and she's really helped me expand my range and polish my rough edges. As a teacher, she does a great job of choosing exercises that work for me as a student and if one thing doesn't, she always has something different to try that will get the right result. She's done a great job building my confidence as well and I always look forward to lessons.
My son Cameron has had fun learning how to sing better. Maya has helped him with his breathing and also given him more confidence in his singing ability. Maya is patience and explains things really well. She is a great teacher.
