Singing with Maureen S.

I am a professional opera singer who grew up singing bluegrass. I graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Music with a Bachelors of Music, specifically voice. I've been singing professionally for 15 years in a variety of settings: I grew up in a family bluegrass band, sang musical theater through high school and college, sing in a female folk ukulele duo, and have a thriving career as a classical soprano in Chicago. I love teaching students of all skill levels. For two years I was the head of the voice department for a dance academy. While there I maintained 15 students of varying age and skill level, and created a curriculum for their dance and voice integrated musical theater program. I also created a music education program for inner city schools in Milwaukee that had their arts funding taken away. If you choose me as your teacher, I'll be your biggest cheerleader. I'm patient, kind, and truly want those I work with to sing beautifully and healthily. Let's make some beautiful music together!
