Classical Piano with Matty M.

I'm a Berklee College of Music graduate who has been teaching piano since my graduation in 2009. Since that time I have also put out two full-length indie-rock albums and had songs featured in small films and tv including a PBS kid's show. Having played piano since I was the age of six, I know what it takes to build a proper piano technique and build a solid practicing schedule. Having worked with several of the methodology books, I have over time built my own pedagogical method book for beginning piano players. I am also quite flexible in teaching different genres of piano including jazz, blues, pop, rock, and classical. In addition to learning the different styles, I have a heavy background in composition and songwriting and like to incorporate creativity and improvisation into the lessons whenever possible. I have worked with all ages and levels with a few students having been accepted into music college. My goal for every student is to build and finesse the music foundations that will aide every student on their musical journey.
