LET'S FACE IT: You want to get good, fast, and have fun doing it. My name is Matthew! I have fifteen years of guitar and drums, a decade of piano and eight years in voice, as well as over ten years of performing live in front of audiences. I am employed as a 'for-hire' guitarist for nationally touring acts, and have worked for both major and independent recording labels; Ferret, and Warner Media to name a few. *** Lesson Details *** Enjoyment is EVERYTHING. We play music because it brings joy into our lives. It's fun, and should always be fun! Muscle memory and hand-eye coordination are crucial when learning a new instrument. As my student, you will receive a 'crash-course' in both. With this, and a combination of theory, basic foundation, and being ''Thrown to the Wolves" (my brand of learning and performing a song in a live setting on the spot) your instrument will become an extra limb by your sixteenth week if you practice! I change my methods accordingly, and am open to work with all students of any age, skill level and passion! It may come off as a big bite to chew, but I believe a strict rehearsal regimen with a positive setting and attitude are the best combination to getting serious students demonstrating serious results, very quickly! All in all, we do this because it is FUN! *** Studio Equipment *** The In-Studio Lessons are taught in a large living room which includes drums, keyboard (88 keys, weighted), guitar, bass, amp. Seating is available. Parking out front (driveway). 1 dog kept separate. *** Travel Equipment *** I provide a guitar and knowledge, please provide your own instrument, as well as a practice amp for us to use. I always carry a backup practice amp. *** Specialties *** Rock guitar, singer-songwriter, heavy metal and soloing.
