Matthew, violin/viola, attended Boston Conservatory and New England Conservatory, then relocated to Los Angeles in 2001, studying at Henry Mancini Institute with members of the LA Philharmonic. He has performed with Yo-Yo Ma, Bobby McFerrin, Sir James Galway, Jennifer Hudson, Peter Frampton, Babyface, Tony Danza, Jared Leto, Deadmau5, Macy Gray, Tim Robbins, Harrison Ford, Isaac Stern, Quincy Jones, DJ Quik, John Williams, Michael Tilson Thomas, James Newton Howard,. Matthew relocated to Los Angeles in 2001 where he studied film scoring at the Henry Mancini Institute while studying viola with members of the LA Philharmonic. Since settling in the Los Angeles area, Matthew founded the Mercury String Quartet and was a prominent member of the Dakah Hip Hop Orchestra, which has performed at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Playboy Jazz Festival as well as Elvis Schoenberg’s Orchestre Surreal. Other orchestras Matthew has worked with include the Chamber Orchestra of St Matthew’s in Pacific Palisades, the Long Beach Symphony, Mozart Classical Orchestra, the Riverside Philharmonic, the Desert Symphony, the Dream Orchestra, the Dosan Orchestra, Opera A La Carte, Pacific Pops, Golden State Pops, Fresno Philharmonic, Bakersfield Symphony, Redlands Symphony, San Bernadino Symphony, Debut, American Youth Symphony, Brentwood Symphony, Santa Cecilia Symphony, New Valley Symphony, La Mirada Symphony, Burbank Philharmonic, Downey Symphony, Glendale Philharmonic, Westchester Symphony, Carson Symphony, Corona Symphony, Torrance Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony, Santa Clarita Philharmonic, Marina Del Rey Summer Symphony, Dana Point Symphony, Peninsula Symphony, and many others.
