Hi, my name is Matt! My passion for music education began when I was 16 years old. I began to get opportunities to coach less experienced players in my high school band and orchestra, and I found it be absolutely exhilarating. Since then, I've been trained at the highest levels to excel as not just a professional musician, but as an educator.
Outside of education, I'm a pianist, trombonist, composer, and producer. My experience ranges from classical music to all genres of jazz and popular music, and I can teach in whatever style you like! As an educator, my specialty is being able to explain concepts usually thought to be complicated in a way that even little kids can understand. Whether you're parent looking to enrich your child's education, a hobbyist looking for pointers, or a professional seeking more knowledge, I'm excited to help you achieve your goals!

Matt is awesome!
Matt is awesome!
Matthew is a very good teacher. He is very methodical and thorough. I highly recommend Matthew to anyone wishing to learn how to play the piano from the very beginning; not having had any previous experience.
