My start in music began with trips from a young age to my mom's rehearsals. As a young child my first instrument of interest was the drums and noticing that I wasn't that good (sister playing better) I quickly moved on to other instruments. During my tenth grade year I joined my high school's marching band playing the trombone. I decided to continue the trombone as my primary instrument while in college at Grambling State University. There I was also able to study other instruments such as bass guitar, piano and organ. Going to college in Louisiana, which has such a musically rich environment, allowed me the opportunity to play venues such as casinos, clubs, appear in commercials and even a halftime show for super bowl 32 as well as other NFL games. My goal for teaching music is to give students the discipline to achieve all of their life's goals.

My session was very relaxed and I got everything I wanted and more out of my first lesson. I didn’t realize there was so much to learn! My tutoring session was online but definitely had a first person in classroom vibe. His years of experience are very self evident in his teaching style. I’d definitely recommend him to family and friends who are interested in learning a cello.

Matthew works very well with me on my level of knowledge of the piano. He is patient, he takes his time, and good teacher over all. He listens and he helps me perfect the music that I already play.
