    Teaching Anything with Minecraft Education Edition

    Whether you have played other versions of Minecraft, dabbled a bit in the Education Edition or don't even know what this game is your students and your own children are playing, you will be amazed at the flexibility of Minecraft as a learning platform. There is a large and ever-expanding library of pre-created, standards-aligned lessons and worlds waiting for you to share with your students. But once you know how to play, you will be able to customize a world to teach literally anything in the fully immersive platform and capture your student's interest with the power of the narrative. We can start with basic game play like how to move, and build, progress to game settings and the unique educational tools in M:EE, explore existing worlds, edit those and even build completely from scratch. Taught by a Certified Minecraft Education Trainer/ Minecraft Global Mentor.

    After over 20 years working in Special Education I have been conducting professional development for the last eight years in Instructional Technology. Between those two roles I have worked with students aged 5-adults, and with every category of disability. In addition to my full-time, year-round position, I have taught a graduate course in Universal Design for Learning through Gratz College and LaSalle University. All of which means I specialize in finding the right way to teach based on the ways my students learn best! I have trained thousands of teachers in Microsoft's applications and can help you with both the desktop applications as well as the online (Office 365) versions if you only have access through a Chromebook. I am the author of the book All the Microsoft Tools You Need to Transform Your Classroom. While I've spent the last 8 years teaching technology to teachers, that includes training them how to teach their students to use the technology. In addition to my full-time job, I am a Learning Specialist for a Microsoft education Global Training Partner. If you have an interest in learning to use Minecraft Education Edition or Nearpod we can set up customized sessions on those topics as well.
