Guitar with Matthew M.

Hello, my name is Matthew Martinez. I have been both playing and teaching music for over 15 years. I started playing mariachi music when I was 14 and began to give both private lessons and teach in workshops and school settings when I was 18. I began working as a music teacher in SAISD when I was 20 years old and I currently still give private lessons all over San Antonio and surrounding areas. I can teach all styles of guitar as well as the music theory that goes with becoming a great musician in general. I also teach my students how to be able to perform in front of an audience, which in many cases, can be even harder than playing. I have taught students from the age of 5 to students that are in their retirement stage of life. I look forward to meeting and getting to know even more students and watching them grow into amazing musicians and maybe even one day music educators.
