    About Matthew M.

I am currently finishing my BM (Bachelors of Music) degree in Jazz Studies as a vocalist. From high school and continuing into college, I have been in vocal jazz ensembles and have done a few gigs on my own. While I am studying jazz music, I also arrange music for myself and have started arranging projects for some acappella/vocal jazz groups! Along with my passion for singing, I have a huge passion for music theory and the process behind how music works! I love taking pop songs and turning them into something different. If you decide to take lessons with me, you can expect a fun and safe environment to experiment with new techniques and become a better singer. Each week in lessons I will always do warm-ups with you and work on any song you want to sing! Depending on what you want to learn, we can go over some music theory and/or work on some advanced singing exercises. If there is anything specific you want to work on during lessons, I am happy to hear your ideas and see what I can do to help! I want my students to not only become great singers and musicians but also be comfortable singing and develop their own unique voices they are proud of!
