I taught freshmen English, Junior American Literature, Senior Short Story, Senior Creative Writing Workshop I and Senior Creative Writing Workshop II, as well as advised the Poetry Club and co-advised the Arts and Literary Magazine, As We Are. I also coached J.V. Girls Volleyball, Winter Track and Field, and Spring Track and Field from 2003 -- 2010.

I taught eighth grade Language Arts using a blended-learning approach comprised of an online curriculum which places the bulk of the responsibility on the students while I supplement their learning with additional materials (novellas, drama, creative writing, etc.) I also advise the Poetry Club and plan / host bi-monthly thematic showcases featuring students and community members (Hispanic Heritage Month, Black History Month, Women's History Month, Poetry and Jazz Month, etc.)

Paul International High School

I taught ninth and tenth grade English using novels and a part-time Asia Society curriculum, as well as advised the Poetry Club. I also taught a Permaculture quarterly elective for sophomores interested in alternative building practices.
