    About Matthew D.

    I've been a composer/musician for 40yrs. I've academic background in theory, composition, guitar, and musicology. In addition I have professional and academic background in audio engineering, including level 1 ProTools certification. I have scored movies, games, and have released several albums on various labels. I am a very patient, I do remember what it's like to start out! I like to tailor the lessons to meet the individual's needs, rather than a one size fits all solution. There are some standard text that might be used, but if we find during the lessons that a particular curriculum isn't working , I am happy to adjust to fit the students needs. In 3 to 6 months of diligent study and practice, a student should be able to perform with a certain degree of confidence and competence at his/her level.
