Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
I am a professional jazz musician in the greater Boston area, and an alumni of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. My teachers included musical legends such as Danilo Perez, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Joe Lovano to name a few. Having studied one on one with them for 3 years, if you aren't able to get a lesson with them, I'm the next best thing! ☺️

Whether you are a beginner, or an advanced student, I guarantee every lesson to educate and inspire you.

Teaching since:

I have performed in jazz festivals around the world, toured Eastern Europe as a classical clarinetist in an orchestra, and am a member of Sir Ralph Peterson's famous Fo'tet. I am great with children and pride myself at being able to tailor my advanced musical knowledge to any student regardless of skill level. I guarantee every lesson will educate, and I hope to inspire my students to continue studying music throughout their lives!

Matt Stubbs is the most uniquely talented young individual on clarinet, and one of the most creative+technically facilitated improvisors of his generation. He has a deep understanding of the woodwind family as he doubles on all the saxes as well as bass clarinet. He is extremely knowledgeable in woodwind technique, improvisation, composition, and arranging. The dedication he shows towards the craft is impressive in and of itself. Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate, or an advanced student, you will quickly discover that he has more to offer than you could ever imagine. I highly recommend taking his lessons. Plus, he just has an amazing personality and a great sense of humor!
