About Matt S.
It was the year 1985 and the end of Route 66 as we knew it, or in my case, did not know it. The end of an era but the beginning of so much more. Nintendo came to the United states. Back to the Future, The Goonies, AND The Breakfast Club were released. New Coke hit the shelves and then subsequently left the shelves. Calvin and Hobs debuted and so did The Golden Girls? Sheesh, the good ole days. What else happened you ask? The birth of me. Fast forward many a diaper and wet bed later and here we sit is Sunny San Diego. I grew up in a very musical family and started playing piano around the age of 8. All four kids were required to take at least 4 years of piano lessons of which I despised all but am extremely appreciative of. Thankfully I grew up in a family that embraced the idea of living a creative lifestyle. As a child my Dad was told by my Grandfather that he could be anything he wanted to be in life as long as he wasn't a musician or a mechanic. So naturally he became a mechanic who was a drummer. Because of that my parents made sure that their kids would know that they would be supported in whatever creative endeavor they might venture into in life. I played the trumpet and drums all the way through High School and part of College when I was in school for 3 years for Music Composition before I realized I really just wanted to produce music. So here we are many years later, many piano lessons later, many bands later, many marching band competitions later, many years of training later being a graduate of Icon Collective in Los Angeles I now teach music production for a living. I thoroughly enjoy sharing the knowledge that I've acquired in life not just about music but also about how to live a balanced life in general. A portion of which includes learning to enjoy yourself and sharing whatever creativity/life experience is within you. So if you are looking to broaden your creative flow and learn to embrace a lifestyle of creativity, which is extremely rewarding regardless of whether or not there is monetary gain, then send me a message and we can talk about setting up a time to meet.
