    About Matt K.

Hey, my name is Matt and I'm a musician, record producer/engineer, teacher and songwriter based in Nashville. I'm 32 years old, I've been teaching private guitar lessons for over 10+ years and I've lectured on music at Drexel University and University of the Arts in Philadelphia. I'm outgoing, great with kids and can teach children and adults alike. Besides teaching, I've toured the country, recorded in world-class studios, worked with Grammy winning engineers/producers/songwriters. I have a psychology and Ethnomusicology degree from Cornell university. I have a wealth of information to impart from over 10 years in the music business, over 20 years of guitar playing in many different styles, extensive knowledge of music theory, musicianship, listening, ear training, improvisation, songwriting, arranging and more. I'm available to come to your house, teach in my East Nashville studio or over the internet. Thanks for reading this and click the green button to set up a lesson to see if we'd be a good fit!
