I've been playing guitar for 9 years and have been teaching friends and family for a couple of years as well. I specialize in Rock and metal, but can play, and therfore, teach most styles. I like to teach by dissecting songs and breaking them down to explain the techniques and theory behind what's gonig on during that passage.

I've been playing guitar since i was 11(I'm currently 20). I specialize in rock and metal guitar, but i can play and therfore teach most other styles as well. I studied sound design at the art institute of Seattle, where i studied under many of the engineers behind bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Mudhoney. I'm currently in the process of recording an album and an e.p. for a personal project. I also run live sound for a local church.

Matt is a great teacher. He really knows his music. He's played guitar for many years and is very talented. He has been complemented by other guitarists as very talented. He is patient and understands how to explain a hard subject.
You can't go wrong with Matt as a teacher. You will definitely learn.

Matt worked with me very patiently.  He planned a fantastic program to help me learn at my own pace. He also worked around my time and made learning easy and fun.  He is very knowledgeable and competent.
