My goal of teaching theory is to make it applicable. Theory is a tool we use to communicate and write music, so it should be practiced as such. I can teach you how to understand chord structure, understand notation and rhythm, and understand how to analyze another piece of music.
About Matt G.
My name is Matt and I’ve been teaching guitar, drums, and bass lessons for about 4 years. I have a B.S in Music from the University of Colorado Denver and have been playing music for over 20 years, taking part in several different ensembles and bands on various instruments. I also spend a lot of my free time writing and producing my own music.
Music has changed my life in more ways than I can imagine. My aim as a teacher is to help the student discover and explore their own passion for music and find out what it means to them on a personal level.
