My name is Matthew Drummey and I am a guitarist/bassist originally from Boston, MA. I attended and graduated Berklee College of Music in 2011 with a bachelors degree in Professional Music.
As a teacher, my mission is to help people to enjoy playing their instrument and to learn in the style of music that they enjoy the most. I aim to keep lessons light and fun with a strong emphasis on playing and making music. I have taught at all levels and ages. I am able to teach subjects such as music theory, improvisation, ear training, and more.
As a player, I try to play with creativity and enjoy playing music that involves improvisation. Some of my inspirations come from players such as: Robben Ford, John Scofield, Jimi Hendrix, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Vinnie Colaiuta, etc.
