Cello with Marza W.

Hello interested cello students! My name is Marza Wilks and I am a graduate of The Juilliard School and The New England Conservatory. I hold a Bachelors of Music, a Graduate Diploma, and a Master's Degree with strengths in pedagogy. I am a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. I have performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Genessee Symphony, Orchestra of the Southern Fingerlakes, and more. I have held a cello studio for over 7 years now, with students ranging from ages 5 through 65. What makes my teaching style unique is that I don't just teach cello technique. I take pride in giving my students a well-rounded musical education. In addition to their regular cello lessons, I provide them with music theory, sight reading, and solfege lessons. In addition, if the student is interested, I give my students piano lessons. Should you want a quote from any of my previous cello students, please don't hesitate to ask me.
