I started playing saxophone in 1994. It was an immediate passion! As the years went on my thirst for music grew and I picked up more instruments. I earned my Bachelor’s of Arts in Music from UW-Milwaukee in 2006. I continued to study privately on Saxophone with Curt Hanrahan and on Accordion with Stas Venglevski. I received the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) award for Best Reed/Brass Player in 2013. No matter which instrument I play the passion is the same. I like to write and arrange as well so I feel an extreme importance on music theory. I am classically trained although my drive is always towards roots music. I try my hardest to combine those two elements. You can listen to my original music on all major streaming platforms. My recent album is called “To The Ghost of Mary R...” I am currently also a freelance musician in Nashville, TN. You may see me playing various instruments in my own group or other groups such as: Ronnie Spector, JD McPherson, Dale Watson, and Many Many More. I've also released my own full length album on all major streaming platforms. *** Studio Equipment *** Bring your own saxophone, flute, clarinet or accordion and books Studio has keyboard, chairs, stand, stereo. *** Specialties *** Technique and sight-reading Training for WSMA Solo & Ensemble competitions, auditions preparation, college entrance auditions, college scholarship auditions Music Theory Improvisation Specific application of theory to various styles of music including jazz, blues, rock, americana, R&B, dixieland, swing, ska, etc. Performance confidence coaching
