B.A. from Villanova University Major in Communications and Media Production Minor in Theatre Professional performer in renowned regional theatre companies all over the east coast. Performer in Off-Broadway National Tour Actor in 3 feature films Singer-songwriter On-air radio host for WBZZ-FM & WDSY-FM Former Creative Expressions Teacher at School for students with multiple disabilities. I will provide you with the basic skill sets you will need whether you are looking to pursue a career in performance or even if you simply enjoy doing it as an extracurricular activity. We will study traditional techniques in acting, singing, and songwriting, but I also find it very important to express your own individuality in such crafts and therefore will also work with you on pieces that you are interested in delving into. Performing has been a joy for me since I was a little girl and I would be ever so happy to share that joy with you. *** Lesson Details *** My voice lessons will cover the basic needs any singer must have to use their voice safely and efficiently. Taking care of the voice is extremely important to learn at a young age if interested in pursuing a career in the arts. Most of my classes focus on musical theatre, however, if interested we can most certainly work on various pieces from other genres that the student is interested in. My acting lessons will help students learn how to break down a scene and really understand their character before getting on their feet. Scene study is extremely important and helpful in theatre and film, however improv is also a very important skill to have. Improv is used more and more today and will help you in real life situations as well. I find that working with improv, students become more comfortable and confident making their own choices on stage. I cater most of my lessons to whatever you are interested in, however I do believe that it only helps as an actor to be well-versed and therefore may assign scene work for you that you typically may not have chosen. Who knows you may even end up liking it, and then you just opened up a whole new world to explore. *** Specialties *** Musical Theatre Dance Voice Songwriting Creative Expression with Special Needs Students Acoustic Guitar
