Hello! I'm Mary and I'm an operatic mezzo-soprano based in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Northern Arizona University where I studied vocal pedagogy, vocal literature, music history, music theory, and piano all while engaging in a multitude vocal performance opportunities. I have also participated in Musiktheater Bavaria, a month-long performance intensive opera program in July of 2019 where I had the privilege of studying and performing in Oberaudorf, Germany under the direction of world class teachers and coaches.

I currently teach beginner and intermediate voice students in a virtual setting where we explores an individual's vocal faults and finds solutions to improve their overall technique. I design unique lesson plans geared towards the skill level and goals of the individual student, and assign age-appropriate repertoire to help them apply healthful vocal techniques to the songs they are interested in learning.

The most significant roles I have performed with NAU Lyric Theater include: “Third Lady” in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, “Margaret” in Guettel’s The Light in the Piazza, “Zita” in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and “Principessa” in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. Professionally, I have performed as the alto soloist in Bach’s Magnificat, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. The most notable awards I have received include: Arizona District winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (2019, 2020), Classical Voice Competition winner from the National Society of Arts and Letters (2020) as well as the Nando Schellen Opera Singer of Promise Award in 2020.

I look forward to furthering my education and career in classical vocal performance as I auditions for prestigious graduate voice programs and participate in classical voice competitions.
